8:45 am - Arrive in the auditorium 9:00 am - Speaker and instructions / updates 9:30 am - Groups will be dismissed. Bus riders, then walkers then on campus sites. *A chaperone will accompany every group. 12:30 - 1:00 pm - Expected return to MHS and dismissal

FAQ
Q: When is Senior Service Day?
A: SSD is this Wednesday, November 19th.
Q: What time is SSD? it start? What time do I have to be at school?
A: We ask you to be seated in the auditorium at 8:45 am. This means you do NOT have to arrive by the 8:20 am bell; just make sure you are in the auditorium by 8:45am.
Q: When will I be done?
A: Expect to be back to MHS between 12:30 and 1:00 pm.
Q: What happens in the auditorium?
A: At 9 am, there will be a kick-off to the day which will include a review of the day, instructions, bus information and more.
Q: Do I have to go to the auditorium?
A: YES! We will be dismissing students by groups / volunteer locations, so you need to go to the auditorium to know when / where to go to meet with your group.
Q: What happens after the auditorium?
A: Groups will be dismissed by buses, so we will need everybody to be in the auditorium to listed to buses being called. Buses may not be dismissed in order, so it is important to listen to the announcement.
Bus riders will be dismissed and told where to meet their chaperone to board the bus.Every group has at least one chaperone who will know where to go when you arrive to the site. Attendance will be taken on the bus.
Walkers: after the bus riders have been dismissed, you will be asked to join your chaperones either in the atrium or at the flag pole outside (depending on the weather). You must meet your chaperone who will take attendance and then the group will walk to the volunteer site. Attendance will be taken again when you leave the site / arrive back at school.
On Campus: after the bus riders and walkers have been dismissed, you will introduced to your chaperones and head do your on-campus location. Chaperones will take attendance at the beginning and end of service, so make sure you check in with them.
Q: When do buses / walkers leave?
A: Bus riders are expected to leave by 9:30 am. Walkers will leave immediately after. Those staying on campus will disperse last.
Q: What do I do when we return? Where do I go?
A: Attendance will be taken before you leave, so make sure you do NOT leave before that happens.
Bus riders - your attendance will be taken on the bus.
Walkers - your attendance will be taken by your chaperone when you return
On-Campus - your attendance will be taken by your chaperone / staff member you're helping.
Q: Can I bring water and/or snack with me?
A: Absolutely! Please feel free to bring a small bag to hold your items... such as water, snack, sunglasses, jacket etc.
Q: Do I have to wear something specific?
A: No, but please remember you're rep'ing the M, so MHS spirit wear is great... your Class of 2026 shirt is a would be a good option! Also think about where you are going. For example, if you are volunteering outside, dress for the weather!
Q: What if I didn't sign up? Is it too late?
A: It is NOT too late to participate in SSD! When you arrive, head down to the auditorium and find a volunteer who will be able to show you available options. You can pick where you would like to volunteer.
Q: What do I do if I don't remember where I signed up?
A: Check your email! An email will be sent Sunday evening reminding you of your location and telling you your bus info.
Q: What if I don't see the email with site / bus info?
A: No problem! There will be volunteers available to tell you that information. There will also be bus info on slides that will playing in the auditorium.
